the sheep are revolting!

Black Sheep came recommended from Kate, and then when we saw its preview on the Hot Fuzz DVD, we knew we had to see it.

Having just watched the film and with it fresh in my mind, I can say with confidence that this was the most entertaining horror movie I have seen in a long, long time. It met my key expectations for excellent horror, which basically boil down to extreme gore and extreme silliness. I can't really get into the Saw movies or anything that has a CSI/reality show sort of feel to it... when it comes to horror, I'm looking for something more along the lines of Dead Alive or Return of the Living Dead. Make me squirm! Make me laugh! Make me squeal and clap my hands with delight!

I did all three of those things in abundance during tonight's viewing of Black Sheep. I'm tempted to say more about the plot, the effects, etc... but I'd rather you find out for yourself. If you like healthy doses of comedy with your gore (a la the early Peter Jackson films), do yourself a favor and go enjoy Black Sheep!
